Cave Hill Creek Camp 2018

Dear Families/Carers,

Re: Camp 2018 update

Our Year 3-6 students will be preparing for camp over the next two weeks. The school has already sent home a ‘What to bring’ list that the camp provided. Please see below a repeat of the items your child should include when packing (keep in mind your child has to carry their own bags and repack them).

The cabins accommodate up to 10 students and bunkroom allocation have now been completed and will be displayed on cabin doors on arrival. Please be assured your child’s bunkroom requests have been acknowledged. Students may be removed (teacher discretion) at any time from a bunkroom if demonstrating unacceptable behaviours which affect other students.

The activities included are Abseiling (qualified team leader provided), Bike riding, Low Ropes Course, Archery, Photo trail, Hut Building and other team sports and activities. We will conduct a night walk after dinner on the first night and the following night the staff and students will be entertained with a concert where small groups will perform (practise time will be allocated during Week 3). The students will be provided with a camp booklet for ‘down time’ or if weather restricts participation in activities.

Should you have any questions/concerns, these can be discussed at the 3 way conferences. We cater for all individuals and their needs. Information has been provided to camp in relation to family requests about food and allergies. The staff are looking forward to camp especially learning with your child in a different environment other than school.

Kind Regards,

Krista Barnes and Grant Smith
