All students participate in one hour a week of music education with a specialist music teacher. Through a range of engaging and age appropriate activities, the music program offers opportunities to develop aural skills, music appreciation, and fundamentals of music theory.
Senior students have the option of joining the school choir, which rehearses weekly during school hours and has regular performance opportunities at school and in the local community.
Music Therapy is also available as a wellbeing program for selected students. Music Therapy is a research-based allied health profession in which music is used to actively support people as they aim to improve their health, functioning and well-being. Music Therapy is distinguished from music education through its focus on wellbeing and therapeutic outcomes.
