School Breakfast Club Program
Sebastopol Primary School is proud to partner with Foodbank to deliver The School Breakfast Club Program. This important initiative ensures that every child can start the day with food in their stomachs and ready to learn. It also creates an opportunity for students to engage in friendly social interaction with their peers in the morning before school.
It has been shown, through interviews with staff and an evaluation by Victoria University that students who participate in the School Breakfast Clubs Program are better able to concentrate, have improved social skills and are more punctual to school.
Breakfast Club is run Monday-Friday from 8:40-9:00 in the school canteen. All are welcome. This ensures that students do not feel singled out for having not eaten breakfast. For many students, Breakfast Club is more about the social aspect than because they’ve not eaten breakfast.
