The Mathematics Curriculum at Sebastopol Primary School provides students with access to rich learning tasks that promote important mathematical ideas, knowledge and skills.  Each lesson focuses on the four key proficiency areas of Understanding, Fluency, Reasoning and Problem Solving.

Our Mathematics Curriculum aims to ensure that students:

• develop confidence with using a wide range of mathematical skills that can be applied in everyday life
• gain specialised knowledge and skills to support further study in relevant fields
• develop an appreciation for mathematics as a discipline

The consolidation of each topic is continuously monitored using formal and ongoing assessment practices in order to provide learning opportunities that cater for the identified needs of each student.
