National Simultaneous Storytime

Sebastopol Primary School participated in National
Simultaneous Storytime again this year; an initiative
led by Australian Library and Information Association.
Each class together with thousands of other schools
read Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller written by Adam
Jackson and Adrian Lloyd and illustrated by Jake A
Minton.
This year, the P/1 class received a special invitation to
walk to the Sebastopol Library to participate in NSS in
the children’s section. Mr T captivated the P/1
students with a picture storybook before Narelle, the
librarian, read Luna Roo to everyone. The students
had a great time on their first local walk to the
Sebastopol Library with school even though it rained
a bit on the way back to school.
Year 1/2 read the book and the went on to complete a
follow-up activity where they each created a crest all
about them and the many positive attributes they
possess.
